    another with the 85mm

I shot a wedding this past weekend almost entirely with my 85mm 1.8. First off, this lens is ridiculously sharp, even wide open (and yes John, I'd love to write a review). Anyhow, I feel this is one of my stronger shots that shows off the glass, but I'm sure there could always be some critique to benefit me.

nice tones. very good duo tone effect. her chest is a bit caved in, I wish she would straighten those shoulders a bit for nicer pose. I would also love to see her hands holding the flowers. Also the top of her head would make this better imo. The light works really well. There doesn't seem to be any harsh shadows, just a nice well lit portrait.

Thanks Liban. There could be more room on the bottom, however the table was full of clutter (this was a candid).

Wow, that's a candid picture?! Very impressive. I particularly like how her eyes, in a very subtle way, match the button-like flowers. Taking the colour out of the picture makes that even more prominent. I really like this picture. Please do write a review of the 85mm lens

Excellent. I wish her hair and flowers are not cut off, her body is not arched, and the glass is nowhere to be seen. But if all that happened it was not going to be candid. Great tones.

I'm learning that cutting things off is bound to happen with a long(er) prime in a tight area. The "missing" glass you're referring to I think is the lens ;)

Sorry, I meant "I wish the glass wasn't in the picture".

But what could he have done to make it even better? It's very important that we keep this forum on track by always making an honest effort to offer some real criticism
