I like what you are doing here, but I'd really like to see the other eye, and perhaps a little bit more lively of a pose. The ear thing is pretty cool, you've exposed and focused very well here.

I'm sort of mixed feelings about the background, part of me would like to see it with a hot white background with vignetting and gradients to accentuate the animal, however I think I like the way the folds already do as much, though the front does hide his foot.
