    Annie #2

Second in the portraiture series of Annie. This one is more of straight-forward comp with minimal post-processing, just a b/w conversion. Critique away!

This is quite nice. Good aperture choice, a bit of chiaroscuro feel (though subtle) great eye contact, nice catchlights, and inviting smile. the 1:2 lighting ratio isn't nearly as dramatic as the first shot, but more flattering in my opinion. I would probably do something to minimize the lines under her eyes, but season it to your own taste :wink5:

I like this one best from the series. I think the straight forward processing without the soft glow added is best. There is an honest and raw feeling about this, and yes it still has the somewhat dramtic lighting feel. It has a classic way about it, and her eye contact works here.

I would still prefer the light to have been a little higher up so as to have the shadow loop below and to the side of her nose a bit as opposed to up and to the side.

    Nicely done

Best of the series. Reduce the lines around the mouth and under the eyes and maybe try to reduce that dark patch near her left eye a little. Great shot, otherwise.
