    Bentley

Another shot with the Minolta A2.
It's really quite good for most work, just moving subjects present a problem.

rather difficult for me to tell what this is. odd angle, where's that reflection on the top of the image coming from?

Well I succeeded then, in photographing a racing car from such an angle that it became almost abstract light and shapes. I seem to have failed in retaining enough recosnisable as a racing car.

It's Bentley's #7 Le Mans car. From the rear.
At the top is the rear wing, which reflects the markings on the rear deck.
At the bottom is the rear bodyshell of the car, over the engine.
You can see the shape of the curved panel by the curved reflection of the tent roof bars.
In between is the streamlined cockpit, you can see the "Bentley" written on each side - well part of it.

I'm glad you can see it because all I get is the red X of a falied link.

i always enjoy your racing photos (big F1 fan here) and this is one of your more interesting shots ive seen so far. i like it for all of the smooth curves and reflections, and especially for using the underside of the wing

but it looks a bit twisted... rotate it back ccw a bit?

if only i had access to such racing events never gonna happen here in calgary

Thank you ! I was trying for something out of the ordinaty among the snapshots of cars.
I noticed while resizing the image I caught the reflection of a bird flying over - on the right hand sige of the cockpit !

Rotate won't quite do it, I was off-centre because I couldn't get past things stored behind the car. So getting the top wing straight will put the rear of the car out.
You might not notice that though (but I will know ) maybe it's worth a try.

But I think having it all squared up is in the same league as "you must have a straight horizon" and maybe I ought to have been more off-centre for it to work, or exactly on line.

My "Reach for the Sky" pair were also at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
