    The Angel Looks Up

I shot this one last year in IR but wanted to get it with B&W. What do you think of the crop? Is it working?

    Re: The Angel Looks Up

I'll give it a "sorta" on the "Does it Work?" question. I see where you are going and it is something more than a snapshot, but it feels like an image that a photoshop guru could really bring to dramtic life with dodging and burning and the rest...

    Hi Greg,

I like it. I think the crop is good as is, but a little more on the bottom might be good too.

The whole thing is too dark, there is no pure white in the image.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Greg,

Maybe just a tiny bit wider on the crop to take in all of the trees. I agree it could be lighter as the face of the statue is kind of dark. But I like the image with the bare trees.

I like the crop, but I agree that it would be better a little lighter.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I will work on the contrast, white and dark areas. I developed this and wanted to post it as it came out. I did clean it up some. Removing dust.

Look dark to me, too. You could also blur the trees a bit to "separate" the trees the the statue more.
