    Andi Sings

    Hey all,

One of my favorite things to do is photograph live music (which there is plenty of here). My friend Andi was performing last night. Kind of a big night for her since it was the first night for her to do all original material, so of course I had to take my camera. Really like this series of images.. I like the black behind her - kind of like how she seems to emerge from the shadows or something...

Hmmm - just noticed the first image is a little soft. I think she moved her head to the side as I shot - the microphone is sharp.

btw her website is www.andreamusiconline.com . (shameless plug. Hey she's a friend of mine. )

I really like the first one .. great atmosphere and I like the toning. She really looks like she's emotionally involved in her performance. The others have the mike obscuring her face a little much I think. It's a shame the #1 is a little soft (as you say) - maybe a reshoot with a higher iso?

    Cheers

I had the film speed cranked all the way up - that place was a dungeon. ;) It was also a small club so my shooting space was pretty tight. I really couldn't get a better angle to get around the microphone more, but you're right - it does obscure here face a bit much.
