    Amsterdam Walk

I was walking home tonight after droping off my D300 to be cleaned and I got this shot with my P7100. I love living in Europe. For me it's like living in Disneyland and this little point and shoot is just too much fun!

There seems to be a lot of interesting detail lost in the shadows, that said its still a lovely shot.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos

I agree with N8 and Hminx. This is a great subject. It needs some distortion correction, along with processing to bring out the details. I think your perspective for this shot makes for a really nice composition.

Nice details the sky, I like the framing by the water
The only thing I'd suggest is to bring up some details in the buildings

It’s about 3/4ths of a spectacular capture. As others have suggested try to lower the black point a bit, or perhaps do a screen or dodge on the lower part, to bring out more of what's there.

HDR would work nicely, and would really lift this shot. I'd also be tempted to get a little closer and make the most of that lampost and tree with a really wide lens.
Please have a look and leave a comment or three...
