    Amaranthine

    Hi All,

I am a novice into photography, i also dont carry any professional equipment to support my hobby . I took this photograph enroute to Simla, India a romantic hill station in the Himalayas.

Amaranthine is derived from the word, "Amaranth" meaning a mysterious long lasting undying flower.

thus, Amaranthine.(has many meanings - never ending, long lasting, endless..etc).

An amateur comment, so please take as such, there's something unbalanced and 'gloomy' with the image, not looking romantic, still as you were there and I'm here, maybe it is!.. Cheers .

    Hey Thanks Lang,

Being a novice i have no idea of photography but i think i have a vision of what it takes to get that perfect shot...may be i dont have the right equipment because i cannot afford buying them right now...but i do have the love for capturing the right frames at the right times...ah well...this pic certainly looks gloomy as the camera has low mega pixels and it could not capture the light and other stuff as they were...But certainly the location is really a romantic getaway for local love birds...

    Cheers to you,
    Chetan

(Please keep such comments coming...i need them

    Re: Amaranthine

Chetan, my grandfather started farming with horses and hope, tilling with a single mouldboard plough and sweat. Without him 'starting off' , we would not be here now. ( My kit is in DSLR life ,about the Iron age , heading t'words the Stanley Steamer)
Forget the 'right equipment' $$ , I'd like to see more of what you have at this time, with what you own, then later you'll get the 'good stuff' . I recon you have an eye , how about in your wandering select some to show us , without too much "make up' Cheers lang.

You do seem to have a good eye.
I like this composition. One problem I have is the cone in front of the tree truck. It just grabs my eye, distracting from the rest of the pic.
Do you do any editing. Could clone it out.
    Keep Shooting!

    Re: Amaranthine

You really do have a great eye for composition, I like the way my eye is led down the path in each of these shots, like they are pulling me in. I understand that you were in a car for the third shot, by the stuff at the bottom, but those items really should be cut out of the photo (cropped). The other three I like very much. the fog/rain in the first shot gives an unusual, but pleasing perspective, and the color is fantastic in the last one.

Keep shooting, you're doing fine
