    Along the Stanislaus River

Here are a couple shots from an earlier outing that I'm really questioning. I really liked the spot while I was there, but it just doesn't seem to translate into the shot so I thought I'd run it past the folks here to see what you say.

    Thanks,

The yellowish blown out background hurts the first one I think, but that should be fixable . The foreground water doesn't help either but no biggie. Looks like a great place to be.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I think these photos are awesome. I really like the cropped one. The bright foreground is a little distracting but all in all great picture.

I think it has a blue cast to it, I would warm it up a bit, maybe also cool down the warm patch in the back, then it might match a bit better. Also, maybe touch up the highlights on the rocks in hte back, looks slightly blown.

Cool shot, great composition and focus.

    Pete, Naz, & Anbesol,

Thanks for taking the time to look and comment. I too am bothered by the bright areas at the top of the first one. These were taken in late afternoon and the foreground was already in shadow. I probably should have waited until the shadow went further up the hillside. I'll have to fiddle with it in PS to see what I can do.
