Along the bank of the Yarra River

I had to crop a bit from the right, and clone a fair bit of the sky. the moon was reasonably bright and there were some stars in the shot as well, they had to go.

nice shot danic. i'm a sucker for night photography love the colours and reflection here. I think you've exposed it well. maybe a tad too bright on the right where the big lights are. but it doesn't bother me. one thing that bugs me though is how tilted the tower to the left is. u can probably skew this in photoshop and get it straighter. nice shot over all!

I'm with Lee on this one, any particular reason why it is tilted? Seems like the only thing that is.

You might need some separation between the buildings and sky. Either darker or lighter, it would make this great shot better.

Thanks for you kind words. I did notice the leaning tower, but I'm not the guru on PS. Does anyone know how this is done?

    Cheers

Re: Along the bank of the Yarra River

yeah sure. first thing u need to do bro is double click the layer on the right were the layer pallettes are.

then press ok . the layer will change from being called background to being called layer 0.

once you're that far , go to transform and then distort. the transform is under Edit -> Transform -> distort or (free distort)

grab the top left point and just drag it tot he left till u get it straight.

that's the dirty answer there are other more lengthier explanations. like filters that correct lense distortions automatically. hope that helps.

Thanks for the know-how Lee! Here is an edited version. It seems the tower has a bit of a bow in the middle, or maybe it's my eyes playing tricks. I am pretty tired. Either way, it's a big improvement on the original. I've also decreased the contrast to try and seperate the sky and buildings.

Once again, thanks for all of your tips and advice. It's greatly appreciated!
