    Alone (Self Portrait)

Here is a self portrait I did today.

I used a strobe right of the camera, Sigma 10-20, and the 30D.
What do you think? I like the blacked out background all around. Gives me the sense of being alone.
Don't ask about the face im making, I tend to make odd faces when doing self portraits LOL

    C&C welcome

I like it. Maybe take some of the red out of the skin. And the viewer's right side of the face might be a little up there exposure-wise. I might try a white fill card on your left next time and see what happens.

For a one light portrait, it's pretty darned good. The eyes are fantastic.

I like this, Rylan. first, I like that you can have fun at yourself while doing a SP, which is what I have been doing lately.
As Dray stated, the eyes came out fantastic with great light and clarity. The wide angle lens goes along with the face your putting on creating a sort of caricature of yourself.
great sharpness throughout from the rim of the cap to your eyes and shirt even
    Really fun, and well done

    Thanks Gary!

This was even hand held lol My wireless shutter release hasn't arrived in the mail yet!

I love having fun while doing self portraits, kind of captures my personality, I love to make people laugh and have a good time.
