    Alone in the field....

I took this a few weeks ago when I was visiting my girlfriend in Central Wisconsin. Thoughts?

I like the texture of the corn stalks and the semi-bare trees in the b/g convey a futher feeling of the season at an end. The sky is too empty though. Perhaps if you have one with a larger view of the empty field, we'd get a better sense of aloneness. As it is I get a sense of work halted and season end.

Good find. I did a similar one of an abandoned flatbed in a field covered in snow.

You could probably remove the pinkish cast in the sky and in general desaturate the magentas and reds a tiny bit, but overall a good shot. Speaks to the time of year, the lifestyle and the region in general. Unusual to see a red combine too, rather than the big green ones so that's another unique aspect of the shot.
