    Almost two years and counting.

when you visit your doctor for a poison ivy rash, that somehow led to breathing problems, the last thing you would think to be asked, have you ever had diabetes before ?,needless to say no was my answer," well you have now " type two diabetes, its been in the back of my mind every day now for almost two years now, thats why i make it my goal to get out every weekend and stay active and take pictures, at 45, single parent, its something that haunts me quite frequently, my son is almost 12 years old,and i really want to see him married with kids before i let this condition take over me,mind you i do eat well and stay very much active at work as well, i thought i would share this picture, any comments are very much welcomed.

I have type one for 51 years and know what all that stuff in your pic is. I'm soon to go on insulin pump and looking forward to it.

My best friend has diabetes and has the pump it is the best thing he has to help him control it. He doesn't have to stick himself how ever many times a day and it has really helped the headaches he had, by controlling the amount of insulin he gets.

I have type 2 diabetes too. I don't think my case is as bad as yours though. I've been eatung a high protein, high fibre and low carb diet for the last couple of years. I'm also on medicatiion that boosts the production of insulin in my pancreas. I don't take readings very often any more, but the last time I took it, the readinga said 5.8.

oh Don your always trying to up me,lol, just kidding, my reading was high from having a desert from work that i should of stayed away from, people and their temptations, but my readings have been a steady range of 10 to 7, I have changed my diet quite a bit from before, and manage to get alot of exercise, and i check my levels about twice a week, its the only way to keep from getting too depressed from reading other peoples horror stories.

I have a team mate who races with type 1. Don't read the horror stories, read the inspirational ones
