    All That Remains

I know that flower pictures often are enjoyed for the perfect bloom and whatnot, but I also tend to like taking shots of the ones that are past, or getting to the point where they're wilting...I still see character and beauty in them...so I'm thinking about a series of photos that show certain flowers like that, but still are beautiful to the viewer, and not just me.

    Here are two so far:

I love the second one. The focus is spot on and your timing is impeccable. To find a dandelion in this state must have been very hard. The back ground is nicely blurred, and focus seems razor sharp. Great Job.

I would agree 100% with fraser. The second photo is great and has very pleasing colors and composition for what you are trying to achieve. I think the second photo would look great next to your "Make a wish" #3...that is what popped into when I first saw it.

The second photo is good, but it does not have the same feel...I think it is a little to cramped and close to the end. Also the focus does not seem to me a sharp as the second. Overall the first photo is good...but not as enjoyable as the second.

A great theme you have started.
    Cheers.

You could call these "Dandy Bokehs", sorry I'm on a tangent these days.

Fine macro shots, particluarly like the second with its last vestige of seed. Shows a certain finality.
