All her eggs in one basket...

A Renaissance Fair was held a couple weeks ago up in Poppet Flats, a small mountain community located south of Banning as one heads up Highway 243 toward Idyllwild. One of the vendors was showing off their country grown eggs and I found it photographically appealing. Critiques and comments welcome.

Nice shot here. Remember this for an easter egg shot in March too. The only thing I think that couldve been better is if the white egg was in the foreground?? It's pulling me to the background as is. Very sharp photo. GB

Yes, I see what you mean about the white egg. Perhaps I can play this off as an Esau & Jacob sort of thing...two in the womb, each fighting against each other. LOL...Oh wait, that won't work...too many eggs in the basket.

I understand GB's point but I wouldn't say that it is an issue for me. The dof makes me focus on the foreground at the first place and the white egg draw my attention afterward.

i agree with Seb, I really like the different shades of brown in front, and the clarity and sharpness is just amazing. i almost feel like i'm there. i think the composition is excellent and the white egg in the background dosen't really bother me. when I first saw this photo, i was just like, "wow!!" one of my favorites on this forum so far!

Thanks Seb & echoback! Yeah, the different shades of speckled browns are what drew me to these eggs. I wonder if they taste as good as they look?!?
