This was shot through dirty glass with a flash. Still not too bad. IMO

Nice croc, but that's an odd reflection off the water across his eye, though a nice job considering the circumstances you mentioned. Composition and color are really good.

I agree the eye is sharp and clear, that really helps the shot.

Thanks for the comments folks.
Actually it's a cayman about 4-5 foot long.
The line across the eye is a flash reflection, likely caused by the on camera flash.
I'll try it again with my Christmas present (540 hot shoe) and see if I can get some improvement.
I agree Frog the nose is a bit close to the edge of the frame, but since it was uncropped, nothing I can do.
I wear glasses making in camera composition a bit harder than I like, so I take the shot. The zoo was busy that day too.
Got nice green boa shot through glass too. I'll post it later today
