    this from my beginner opinion.. i think it's better if you take the picture of the bird closely..
    from this photo, the bird seems too small.. and it almost lost of the POI

    Considering it was with a P&S, you did rather well. I rather like the concept of this little piece of nature in the midst of all this ugly man-made landscape - certainly more original than a bird on a twig!

    Having said that, the bird IS rather small in the frame - whether it really works or not depends, I think, on whether or not the bird is sharp in your original image. It looks a little soft here, but that could be down to resizing.

    Thanks guys! As far as him being small... actually that is why I liked this shot. Teeny bluebird lost in the big manmade hard stuff.
    I can't wait to get my Canon Xsi this week! Yummy.... a REAL camera!
