Alaska Photos 6 - Old Cars

From a little store just north of Fairbanks before the road becomes gravel. I found their limos for sale sort of humorous. Maybe somebody would find the time and $ to restore them, it just won't be me.

Don't know why, but it was hard to photograph these the way I wanted - comments?

On the sign, "mess" is appropriate.

    Prices run high in Alaska.

Ah! the days of station wagons and roof racks, and family vacations with the kids packed in the back with the tents and camping gear, playing road games.

Most of ours were in a 52 Plymouth or a 59 International TravelAll.

Armando, they'd have to pay me $900 to take em. But if someone had one of these all fixed up, it would be sort of neat ... imagine cruising Sunset Blvd in your 8-door limo, the looks you would get

Frog, did you own an 8-door?

No 8 doors. The plymouth was a 4dr sedan.
The Travelall was a 3 door, not counting the back hatch. Dad cut a double bed box spring to fit over the wheel wells to fit for himself and mom.
