    Looks like a Chinook simulator for the fire crew to practice on.
    But why is there apparently a fire on the wrong side of the near appliance?
    Did they burn one of the parked cars as well?

    I was thinking it was a chinook too, but the prop is missing. SW's comment of a simulator would explain that. Too bad you couldn't get closer.

    Paul, Payn & Yuck,

    Yep this is the simulator, but its the first time I managed to catch them practising. This was on the school run, by the time I'd taken these and then dropped Beccy off the fire was out.

    This is from a long way away and I only have a 200mm zoom. Major crop. When I took this I concentrated what I wanted in the centre of the lens to get the best out of the camera.

    Haven't got a clue what the second fire was - but it did look strange.
