    Across the street

This is the house of a friend across the street.
I liked the gold leaves in the street light but they don't show up that well in the photo.

    Re: Across the street

I like the idea. Maybe a closer picture of the tree without the light pole. Leaveing the viewer wondering what is producing the light. Maybe a couple of shots and use some different filters for different effects....

    Good ideas, Greg.
I didn't have much time to look at this after I posted it. Its a LOT redder here. I don't know why.

    Re: Across the street

Alas the image on my monitor is so red/orange that it is hard to comment on anything else.

Mess with the white balance and try to shoot with just a little more light in the sky to even things out.

I, too, think this would look nice if the leaves were indeed gold... but then, what color would the bug be?

    Re: Across the street

Your problem here is colour balance. The street light is similar to an interior incandescent light which produces warm orange colour light. To get more realistic colour, you could have in your menu set your colour balance to tungsten or indoor which amplifies blue which is the colour of outdoor light.

    Re: Across the street

Well, I don't get it but I'll figure it out.
I tried redoing the photo last night and when it still came out red/orange when posted, I thought I had deleted it but its still there, obviously.
Here's another attempt to get it right.
I dislike the photo more myself so will try a reshoot sometime in the future.
    Thanks for all previous comments.
