    Abandoned Depot, Reshoot

I went back this morning. The antenna has been cloned out with a couple of other items. Is the border to much?

Greg, the picture is very good. Good composition. The lighting, clouds, and you pp look great. I really like this color version. suggestion. . . .dodge a bit more light onto the front of the station
Yes, I feel the border is a bit too strong.
    Great reshoot, Greg.

I love old black and whites quite a bit. It would be interesting to see what that one looks like in B&W too.

I just checked my old monitor, and I have to say the "Abandoned Depot, Reshoot" looks under exposed.

But I do like the composition.

Greg, it appears a little dark here, too. As far as the border--maybe a thinner one would compliment the shot a little better. The comp is terrific though.

    Re: Abandoned Depot, Reshoot

Here's an edit with everyones ideas. Lightend, front dodged and reframed. Thanks Gary for the dodge idea, it's a tool I need to practice with more. I think it helped here and that's why I post them. For some reason sometimes a B&W conversion just don't work. I just couldn't get a conversion I was happy with but I did shoot the depot with some B&W film. Comments on the edit?

The edit looks better to me. More detail is visible.
I do miss the antenna though ;-)

Thanks Frog. I am probably going to enter this one in a contest and the antenna will be in it, I can't clone it out if I go by the rules... I hope the judges feel the same way as you. LOL

    Re: Abandoned Depot, Reshoot

Greg, second version is stronger not only because of the lightened areas but the composition with the foiliage on the left looks very good. I like this one in color. . .the soft colors are working here as an asset to the picture. Also, I do not think leaving the antenea in this will harm it too much.
    Good luck in the contest
