    530 am

afdlips and I woke up at 5:30 on saturday because we were inspired to catch a sunrise. Why you ask? Because on friday, as were were going to school, the sunrise was magnificent. Perfect sky, and as the sun was coming up, it projected a shade of magenta on the Flatirons. Oh, and the harvest moon was right over the Flatirons too. But on saturday, it was cloudy, cold, and drizzly.

But this is what I salvaged:

Looking good Louis I like the contrasty colors in both shots. Not sure about the tilt in the first one but, I really like how you captured the swirls in the water. Do you have any other shots of those?

    Thanks.

I do have a couple that has the fall and without the tilt, but those didn't come out too well.

nice shots. I like them a lot. the water is nice and smooth, and i especially like what seem to be ripples in the first image.

The water seems to be captured at the perfect shutter speed -- it looks quite dreamy.. I like the leaves and everything but there might be too many objects in the photo, creating a little bit of a busy feeling. This can be corrected with a little cropping. Also, the images seem soo bright, almost like you used a flash...?

Thanks. Hmm, how bright? It might be just my monitor. The leaves on the 2nd photo seem a bit blown out. I'm gonna go ahead and burn those guys in.

I like the point of view and the ripples in the first image a lot. The green in the upper middle contrasts nicely with the dark rock and the fallen leaves plus the plant, the rock and the flowing water put a nice V shape in the middle of the frame. I can't think of a thing to change or improve in this one.

The second image doesn't seem as creative as the first. Most of the same elements are there but the mix just isn't as good as your first image.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Just viewed it on my work computer, still looks artificially bright. But I could have two uncalibrated monitors, too. The top of that top rock in the first image really seems shinny.

Yeah, the rock was really shiny, even with a polarizer.
