Beautiful! Love your composition Roger and those trees look absolutely gorgeous covered in snow.
    So...where's the snowman?

For whatever reason (could be size, could be digital artifacts, could be real) the image doens't look very sharply focused.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Roger - Nice find. Christmas in April, huh. Hey it's 70F over here (I think I'd rather be in the snow though, taking those nice snow shots).

I agree with MB that it does seem soft.. Since it's consistent throughout it could be the image resizing. Try sharpening. Might also try converting to B&W.

    Re: 5" of snow yesterday

    Thanks for the critiques,

AgingEyes, John, Glad you liked it. It was lovely walk and the weather - well what can I say I loved it.

Alison, I will add the snowman in a few minutes time. I want a pic of him now which I'll take in a minute.

GB, MB - I have had lots of problems with an Action I create a while ago for posting. Colours have to be adjusted, brightness, and now softness. The print is pin sharp even under a loupe, just checked. Guess I'm going to have to rebuild the Action in PS. I will post a better version later today.

    GB - 70F! its 36 here this morning. Heatwave:lol:

Sun would have been nice but it was snowing lightly at the time. Believe it or not there is some colour in the picture. some green near the water and very dark brown from the wet bark.

I do understand what you mean though. I went by the stream a little further up I'll see if they have some sun. Haven't managed to go through all of them yet.

Nice work Roger. I wish we got that much snow. I can imagine the great detail in print I can't see here. Good work.

Very nice, Roger. what makes this alot for me is the tree/branch laying down on the water with it's reflection coming down to frame. This foreground element brings a needed depth to a scene like this and pulls me in. I can imagine alot is lost here in the web resolution and a large sharp print of this would look amazing as Greg already pointed out.

The print at A4 is lovely and sharp and the detail as you predicted is beautiful and clear with lots of depth. I am now contemplating get it printed at A3 size and then framing it for my study.
