    2nd shoot outside with a strobe

    been practicing shooting outside
    only one strobe...beauty dish with sock.

    Wow! She's a beauty. I'm not critiquing pose or anything like that since you are talking strobe. So I'm just looking at the strobe effect. Personally, I think you've done a phenomenal job here. Maybe a slight turn down of power, since the highlights on her clavicle, tops of her breasts and her cheekbones seems to be just a wee bit much (may be the makeup though. I know that when it has a sheen light can pick it up). Love the rim lighting on most of the images. The next to last seems a bit less well done simply because you have such a large highlight at the top of the shoulder, then a small highlight along the arm, then a big swath of light across the forearm and the hand in shadow.

    The ones I liked best were the first, the fourth, and the last. Though on the last again that bit of harsh sunlight coming over her shoulder is a bit distracting.

    Love how you sculpted her face. They really do look great.

    Thanks... I could have stopped down to tame the highlights too... really appreciate your comments and suggestions.
