I like your work here. Not crazy about how the elbow's cut off, but the exp density of his face etc is perfect. You captured his eyes ideally and hence succeeded quite well. Bravo.
Ps - Funny how football ages the players so fast. This fellow looks older than 21 or 22......

thanks guys . It was hard to get him all into the frame, after all all he is 6'4 250. I used my 70-200 2.8 about 20 feet away there were 2 alien bee 800's 1 large soft box on the right and on strobe for rim lighting with a reflector on the left. I did a supershoots workshop and was great. met the great DK , he shoot artistic and fetish nudes and JT as well.

Nice work. I even like the elbow cut off and the resulting emphasis on his bicep. Great facial expression. Nothing to do with your photography -- but I hate all these tattoos that are so popular.

Well done. For a first time or a 1000's time, this is still good. Nice lighting. Yeah maybe the elbow shoulda been there, but it doesn't take away from the effectiveness, evenness, and the professional look of this shot.
