View from Within. . .Ski lift motor shack

Another in this theme I have been working on. This was taken in the Silvermine Lake area where there used to be a ski resort in the winter. appears to have been abandoned long ago. i did manage to crawl in through the broken planks to this shack as all the doors were boarded shut. how do you feel about this one? thanks

Good shot, Gary. There's just enough detail left in the upper left corner and the incoming light is perfect. Did you convert this to B/W?

    Cheers,

thanks for the comments. Yes, shot with color negative film and scanned and converted to b&w. Glad you mentioned your thoughts on the area in the upper left of the frame.

I like this shot, Gary, and you've used perspective well to try and direct our attention outward but my eye is stuck inside with interesting detail and won't go out into that bright light. For me this isn't as compelling as your other Looking out shots.
Now go break into some more little shacks!

lol, thanks for the comments, Chunk. ( btw, I think I'm going to have to add an axe and a pry bar to my bag along with my lenses and filters) I see what you mean about not leading the eye out strongly enough. I did darken and burn in the outside light somewhat as I thought it might have looked like a bright spot or blown out. But it may have helped direct the attention better towards the outside and made the lighted area inside seem softer in relation.

Is that a person standing outside near the center of the picture? For some reason that really bugs me but I am not sure why. The wheel is pretty cool as well as the perspective but the picture just doesn’t hold my interest for very long.
