    Permission to print and sell??

Do I need permission to print and sell a picture that I took of a persons barn while standing on the highway? I have heard it said both ways but do not know which is right....
The picture does not show a house, a animal or anything just like that.... it just looks like an abandoned tin barn (don't know if it actually is or not)
So, is it okay to add this to my list of selling pics or do I need to go ask the owners permission first???

(I can post the pic if needed)

You shouldn't need permission to print and sell the photo. I do it all the time.

There are very rare occasions that a release may be needed but, highly doubt that would be the case here. Here's a good read for you:

I'm pretty sure the rule is: any building that is "normally viewable from a public place" you are free to publish/sell.

If you use it in an advertisement, then I think you'd need permission. But if you're just selling a photo of the barn, I think you're good. Using an image of someone else's property to sell a product without permission is a no-no, though.
