    Hello

I just wanted to say hello to all the Pentax shooters and wanna b's.

I live in Murray Utah and I've been shooting Pentax since my K1000 in 1981. I still have the K1000 and pull it out once in a while still.

I shoot with a K10d and am adding a K7 to the mix next week as soon as it arrives in the post. Just got a 50-135mm F2.8 yesterday to add to my modest collection.

I hope to have a great time here sharing info and getting to know you all.

    Tom

    Welcome!

Hello, Tom - welcome to PhotographyREVIEW.com!

I met Tom yesterday when I volunteered to "model" for him and his new 50-135mm f/2.8 lens. Here are a few photos of Tom at work. It's rare that I meet a working pro that uses Pentax gear I wanted to show that you don't *have* to use Canon or Nikon to get the job done.

Thanks for joining us, Tom. Our Pentax forum could use some more members so I hope you'll stick around and help us keep things in motion

    Re: Hello

Welcome Tom, Glad to have another Pentaxian aboard!!! PR is a great site and I hope you will have a great time here! We are here to help you in anyway we can and with your experience, I'm sure you will be a great asset for some of the less experienced of us on the site.
Must have been great to meet our mighty leader!!! I've been on here for several years and have yet to catch a glimpse of him. But one of these days, maybe I'll get lucky too.
Please feewl free to ask me anything you may need help with on the site. As for camera stuff, you probably have far more experience than I do, as I am just an avid amateur who loves Pentax cameras.
    Again, Welcome to our family.
    Ken

    Ken,

Amateur means someone who loves. I'm looking forward to being a part of the PR site. My background is classical music and broadway stage as both a director and performer. I love to learn and share.

    Keep Shooting.

Not a typical background, Tom. I really like the cello photos you've been posting on Flickr.

Interesting Tom...I'm a classically trained vocalist (Bass). We seem to have a lot in common.
I would appreciate it if you would post a link to your flicker site so that we could view your photography, until you have a chance to post some things here.

I beat you by 7 years with my old Spotmatic. I still have it but sad to say it hasn't had film through it in 30 years. The Super Takumar 50mm/1.4 gets the occasional outing though

It's so bright it actually sucks light in, you have to lean back a bit to counteract it

Sure thing, Tom! Do you just want the file posted here or something else? Did I ever post it on Facebook? I can't remember.
