No Chance. Pentax lacks the R&D resources at this point to do one. They've already announced a Medium Format digital system, that they can't seem to get done, and they just laid off half their work force. They could probably do a FF body by buying a Sony sensor, but they couldn't possibly get a whole family of lenses out the door for it.

Would be nice if they started up their FA* range again. I saw one go for about $3,500. 200mm I think it was. Very nice range of lenses.

Anyway, DG is right, no FF for Pentax.

Here http://forums.photographyreview.com/...ad.php?t=52097 is all we've heard and it's overseas only, at this point. It's a square format. You might want to check it out.

Sorry Ken, that's old news :blush2: Quite a few of the wide DA lenses will vignette, even more so with the petal hood. They are just too wide for a square sensor.

I'll start a new thread for all the new news I've heard/read.

Bad time, economically, to expect much new from camera companies.
Maybe that's why I had the feeling from PMA that "smart" or "intelligent" or some other camera software attribute is going to be the current wave of improvements.
Rather than cramming more pixels into the same sensor size, or stepping up in sensor size.
I hope the megapixel race is over, and they go back to quality pixels.

Thanx Danic...I must admit, I'm not good at researching these things. I'm more a cheerleader for my favorite camera. I do however try to remember what I've read and try to pass things on.
Sorry everyone if I've mislead anyone or given faulty info.
