Firmware upgrade

I am about to pull the trigger on a Pentax 540 flash unit, but was informed that I needed firmware 1.3 to get the unit to work correctly. I checked and my camera has version 1.0. (My camera is a K10, and I have had it about 18 months.)

I have found the Pentax website that walks me through the steps to upgrade. Are there any tricks or cautions of which I need to be aware?

Just follow the steps, and you'll be good to go!

It really is very easy, and the instructions (if followed) are very clear. There isn't anything to go wrong really. Just make sure (as per the instructions) that you have a charged battery in it.

I've done it twice now with no problems at all.

Just upgraded my software following the directions from the Pentax site. Went without a hitch. Woo-hoo!!
