It should be a great addition for Olympus and maybe get the recognition that it deserves. With the worlds fastest focusing system, 1/8000sec shutter speed, Image Stabilization, Advanced Noise Filter III ect. ect ect. The list goes on and on. All of the wrapped in a pro body. I think the wait was worth it. I think everyone should visit the Olympus site and check it out. Street price around $1699.00

1/8000sec shutter speed? Do they make a motor winder for it? How many fps of 35mm will that do?

Olympus claims it will shoot 5 fps at 10.1mp. That's fast. Also the fastest focusing camera in the world.

    E3 Launch!

I was lucky enough to accompany P-J to the launch party this evening. It was a blast. I posted some pics here in Viewfinder:

But saved this one for this forum - the hall of Olympus! Not quite Mount Olympus, but it will have to do.

I'm really pining for one of these babies....

    Some Photos Of The E-3

I'm working on a detailed story about the new Olympus E-3. It will be posted tomorrow morning. It's turning into something a little bigger and more detailed than I expected. So to tide you over, and show you that we were at the E-3 introduction, here are a couple of photos of the new E-3, including one of Megan trying it out. I think she's in love. It's also important to note that the two photos of the camera by itself were taken with an E-3 that I put one of my own memory cards in

Here's a link to the Olympus E-3 press release.

A full editorial write-up on the Olympus E-3 will be posted tomorrow!
