External Mic - XZ-1

Anyone know of a 3rd party version of the Olympus SEMA-1 (External hot shoe mic)? I don't plan on using it enough to pay the $60 asking price but I think it could be randomly useful.

It doesn't even have to be stereo or anything fancy like that

Any suggestions?

I am not sure but I would think almost any small mike would work, this one just is made to set in a hot shoe. Maybe check the specs and talk to someone at Radio Shack?
