Apparantly this information can be found in the owners manual but I have read and re-read the sections where the info is supposed to be and cannot find my answer.
When using the IR remote on the e-system cameras (in my case the E-500) does the remote utilize the autofocus or is it simply a shutter release? I know we do not have a shutter release cable for the E500 (unless something new has been developed in the past 6 months) so I am going to end up needed a remote.
I want to use this in conjunction with the Bushhawk camera mount system - link: http://www.bushhawk.com/ and it can be set up with a remote if there is no cable release but theres no point using it if the AF doesn't work with the remote as it will force my hand back up to the shutter button or to the focus ring...either way it makes themount ungainly and impossible to use.
Any help on this is appreciated.
