    according to their written synopsis, the sensor based IS provided slightly better results

    If nothing else it is certainly cheaper. I can't complain with mine. Only if it stops working.LOL

    And, I won't have to replace all of my pricey IS or VR lenses when IS/VR 2.0 comes out!

    Even if (maybe) it is less effective than lens-based systems, it is only a matter of time before the technology evens out. We MIGHT be talking about a stop of difference at long focal lengths, but we are DEFINATELY talking about thousands of dollars of difference.
