When in Word... I just type "Ctrl-I". I can't tell you how many times I've done that from habit while trying to do a post...but I can get used to anything.

But pressing ctrl+I actually works in the editor !!
Either type and pressctrl+i and it puts in the markers and leaves your focus in between them, or highlight text and press ctrl+I and it wraps it with the markers.

It does? Then I must be doing something wrong. When I choose "Post Reply", and, while in the edit window, I press "Ctrl-I", Internet Explorer pops-up some side history window. Also, "Ctrl-B" (the Windows convention for "bold") pops-up an "Organize Favorites" dialog. Again, that's an IE thing, but I don't know how to bypass it.
