YAY today for the stock markets!

Finally, what a nice relief to see such a boost in the stocks..... hopefully tomorrow will be just as prosperous and I hope that this boost will help thaw the credit markets..... when you have a husband who is a real estate broker, frozen credit markets, and housing market prices so low, are NOT your friends...... so... go economy go!!

I feel for you, he's in the wrong business right now.

Past of current current performance is no indicator of future trends.
I don't see this as something that's going away quickly, it's going to take months, if not years.
The trick is to buy near the bottom, and I've got a little to invest that I'm keeping an eye out for the right place/time.
Our house is paid off next year, so we're not doing too bad in the crunch - just price rises

My colleague at work has just handed in his notice, to go work for a bank !
But he thinks that a Swiss bank is fine to work for - should be stable.
I suppose so, as long as you don't live in Switzerland ,,, that's SO expensive.

my dad just told me that the bank he works for (and he claims was in good shape) was one of the ones that was partially bought today by the government.

so we are watching what happens tomorrow.

crazy huh? He has been lucky so far, we were smart to keep about 4-6 months payments in the bank but now we are wondering if that is even enough..... I am SO anxious to see what happens in the next few weeks/months..... we just bought a house a few months ago..... LOL
