    Is there a lightweight software solution for integrating use cases involving serveral legacy systems in a new, simple web UI?

    Not really. Front ending one system is hard. Doing it with more would be very hard.
    Would need more info to be more helpful. Do they have Web services

    Hi there, I am not an expert but I think that you can start from reading this article about integration of legacy systems and make sure you understand the topic. Believe me I know what I am talking about. They helped my firm a lot to become one of the most successful in the region. Hope it can help
