Both teams were boasting fully fit squads during the week and bar any late withdrawals each manager will be able to pick their strongest XI.


Ilkay Gundogan, who picked up a slight knock against Brighton and sat out the game against Everton, is fit for the final, while for Chelsea Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante are both available after recent injury worries.


“The team news is the best news ever, we have a full squad,” said Tuchel. ‘We have no injuries and I hope it stays like that until after we finish [our last] training session.”


What each team’s best XI actually is, is up for debate, and both tacticians have a number of tools to choose from in order to effectively carry out their gameplan.
