    Swine Flu

    None over here,yet,but...some suggestions.

Traveling with masks on is hard, and in some cases, gives a false sense of security.
(Some say this flu is very small, can pass thro' regular masks mesh)
Add something like oil of lavender or eucalyptus to it,or skip the mask and put some Vicks Vapour rub into each nostril - just like they do in morgues - keep mouth closed

After flu shots got a bad name,a rather enlightened boss offered us all a choice of Homeopathic pills or regular shots .
Result - the pill takers had 10-1 less sick days, even tho' we traveled by the London Underground, each day.I've been a fan, ever since.

    Re: Swine Flu

There isn't much of a difference between the swine flu and other flu's.
The only reason this one is making headlines is because it's a new strain for humans. People die from the other flu's every year but it doesn't make headlines anymore.
You have to take the same precautions with the swine as you do with any virus. Cover your face when you or someone else coughs or sneezes and wash your hands.

    Re: Swine Flu

Right, Paul .... and history repeats itself yet again. My daughter works in the ER of a public hospital here in New Orleans and they have been flooded with people who THINK they have the Swine Flu. There are people in the waiting room wearing surgical masks, and there is not ONE documented case in Louisiana yet. It's crazy and a little scary when you see what happens once the media get hold of something.

    Re: Swine Flu

Last night wa state had 6, tonight we have 13.

It has been pointed out that this flu will probably decline during the summer, but that often the second round of a new flu bug is much deadlier than the first round.

    Re: Swine Flu

200,000 to 500,000 people die every year from the flu. I think the death count for this one is kinda low. I for one will not worry anymore about this one then any other flu season.
