I need help deleting Antivir 2010

This low life program has got in my computer and I cannot seem to get rid of it. I am not a violent person but I would very much like to be locked in a room with the person that came up with this for five minutes. I think I could totally change his attitude.

If you can help me eliminate this you would make me one very happy person. This program pops up every time I try and use my computer and says that there is a virus that needs to be dealt with. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Jeff

I had it once and set my hard drive back to as it was before getting it. I used Norton GoBack, but Windows also has it's own (System Restore, I think). Take it back before you got it and remember you will lose EVERYTHING else since then. If you have a USB back up, you may want to put important changed files there and disconnect it. - TF

Don't know if you tried but I googled antivir 2010 removal and there were a lot of sites with instructions. I didn't read them but maybe one or more will give you the info you need.
Spyware doctor used to do that....pop up all the time when I had it.

The best out there to remove it is Malwarebytes. It is free and can be downloaded from malwarebytes.org. We use it all the tme to clean AV 2010. What you might run into is AV2010 will just about render your PC useless. You might have to start task manager, kill the process from within there and then downlaod and install malwarebytes. A lot of times we will remove the drive, slave it to another PC and run the scan that way. Then put the drive back in the PC, install Malwarebytes and run a final scan. PM me if you need additional help. I have removed this thing hundreds of times. It is my client's favorites things to load.

Thanks to Frog, Ray and OldClicker for responding to my post. I tried several things and my son worked on it for a long time without any luck. I then went in and restored my computer back to the way it was the day before this started happening as OldClicker suggested and now ALL IS WELL and I am a happy camper again. I thought about this originally but when I looked to see how to do it it was confusing to me. After trying several other things I went back to the restore as OldClicker suggested and my computer is working just fine. Thanks go to all of you with a special thanks to OldClicker, Jeff
