I’ve been using a standalone version of Microsoft Office (Office 2019) for a few years now, but I’m thinking about switching to the Office 365 subscription. I actually prefer the one-time purchase. I bought Office 2019, and it works just fine for my needs. I don't need all the fancy updates or cloud storage. I understand why some people like the subscription, but for me, it's just an extra expense
