    A rowing machine

A rowing machine is a construction of a handle and a flywheel, thanks to which you can perform movements as close as possible to rowing on a boat. And some modern models are even equipped with a fan to stimulate and simulate gusts of wind. The rowing machine has several varieties. What to look for when choosing this simulator? It is best to read the review of a specialist in the field of fitness Tania Kharkevich https://askyourfitnessquestion.com/question/what-is-your-body-before-and-after-rowing-machine/

    Re: A rowing machine

Why do I prefer rowing simulator? The answer is obvious - increased calorie burning.

Competitive rowers spend almost 2 times more calories at a distance of 2000 m than runners with obstacles at a distance of 3000 m. Sounds interesting, right?

The stunning effect of rowing in burning calories is caused by the large number of muscles involved. Data on the number of calories burned varies, due to different training conditions.

For example, Harvard Health Publication claims that a 84 kg rower burns 377 kcal in 30 minutes. Frederick Hagerman from the physiology lab at Ohio University claims that rowing burns 10-15% more calories than a bike. There is evidence that an hour lesson on a rowing machine burns 600 kcal. ShockWave and Indo-Row instructors using WaterRower rowing machines claim that participants in these programs burn an average of 800 calories per hour!

You must admit that burning 400-800 kcal in less than an hour is amazing.

Admit also that rowing simulators are relatively inexpensive!

Buying a high-quality rowing machine is cheaper than a similar-quality cycling machine, not to mention a treadmill. This allows you to reduce the gym expenses on the cardio zone. And when you open a rowing studio, expenses are reduced significantly, which leads to a lower, therefore more attractive, visit price for the client.

If you are considering buying a rowing machine for home, then you'll probably find it for a reasonable price. Good luck!
