Medical insurance and service coverage through New Century Home Care

Hey, I was wondering if anyone has experience with how medical insurance works when using home care services, specifically with New Century. My mom just turned 78, and she’s been needing more help around the house after her fall last winter. We’re looking into getting some home health aide support for her a few times a week, but we’re honestly a bit lost when it comes to what insurance will actually cover. She’s got Medicaid, but I’m not sure if it’ll pay for everything or only certain services. I’m trying to avoid getting hit with surprise bills, you know? If anyone’s gone through something like this, I’d appreciate your insight.

Totally understand what you’re going through — we were in a similar situation with my uncle last year. He also had Medicaid, and we were worried about what would or wouldn't be covered. Turns out, a lot of the home care services were covered, but we had to make sure the agency was properly certified and familiar with state programs. We ended up using New Century, and they really helped walk us through what was included under his insurance plan. They’ve got a section on their site that explains the types of services they offer, which helped us make sense of it all. It’s definitely worth checking to see if their offerings match your mom’s needs.

Just passing by and saw this thread — I’ve always found the whole insurance system confusing when it comes to elder care. There are so many variables and it seems like every state has its own rules. Honestly, I wish there was just one simple guide that broke everything down clearly for families going through this. It’s good that there are forums like this where people can swap advice and real stories.
