Not off to a good start

If your first cup of coffee is bad, makes you wonder how the rest of the day is going to be.

I've got about half a dozen samples from various friends...each makes about 2 or 3 cups...today's was bad.

Debating about going back to bed, or getting up and going out and getting some real coffee.
    I sleep, but I don't rest.

Re: Not off to a good start

I had my son drive in to school this morning so I could scrounge around in my camera, computer and regular teacher bag to find the Excedrin Migrane. Luckily for my students, I found 2 tablets between three bottles. Now it just feels like the sword was left three/quarters of the way into my brain, just above my eyes. At least my coffee was allright this morning. A nice blend of Starbucks Sumatra and Seattle's best french roast. My condolences on the lack of java and the prevalence of the white stuff outside.

That is a rough start to the day, but at least it's snowing.

If the coffee was so bad that you're able to go back to bed, then you should.

I don't like experimenting with new coffees, especially at home. But, I suppose that's the only way you're going to find something different that's good...

I was up 1/2 the night because my wife wasn't feeling good. Then the other 1.2 the night I couldn't get any sleep because my neck decided to go stiff. Any movement I make from the arms up hurts, and I've got a 10 hour sports shoot tomorow

I always thought we should have a "crappy weekend insurance" policy at work, where if you have a bad weekend just take another day. I think this is along the same lines.

I love free stuff. But coffee is not to be messed around with.

Re: Not off to a good start

    Things are better!

Ran my errands, had a fabulous latte at Alterra, and got some real coffee for home. Got my work holiday card done (see Holiday Greetings in VF) and TKD graduation is tonight.

    Crap...now people are crying...

I feel your pain...literally. My neck stiffened up yesterday morning and I feel pain all through my arms. It happens once in a while. I'm supposed to go see a band tonight (Dinosaur Jr.!) and I can't decide if it's even worth it. And tomorrow's 5K isn't going to be fun either. I'm glad I don't have a sports shoot, though.

As far as I know my first game is at about 8, last one starts around 3ish. Then I'll be heading up to Berkeley (about an hour drive) help out downloading photos & printing them on their spiffy new (used) Fuji ES390 (or whatever the big printer is called). Then I'll come home, charge the batteries, and go shoot a Cyclocross race the next morning.
