So, my 8 yr old comes running in the house, they've been out playing in the leaves.

"Mom, we found a dead bird, and it's head was almost all the way off!!"

Umm okay. "What did you do with it?" Because you know they did something with it.

Apparently, her and he sister picked it up with leaves and sticks, and moved it to where the dog couldn't get it.

How thoughtful was that. I mean, after the massive handwashings, I can appreciate that they know the dog eats anything she can reach (which, admittedly isn't a lot, she's not very tall), and didn't want her to play with a dead bird.
