Some excitement here in rural Cecil county! Our college went into lockdown when two armed criminals being chased by state troopers entered the college parking lot and crashed their getaway car into a hydrant. There were about 30 troopers, a police helicopter scanning the woods behind us, and tracking dogs.

One guy was caught in the library building and surrendered. The other was on the loose for about two hours until the troopers determined he has probably left the campus. That's when the lockdown was lifted. There is an elementary school and vo-tech center right next door, I don't know what they did..

The really dumb part was when we called one of the local TV stations in Baltimore. The guy had no idea where Cecil College was or anything about Cecil county at all. But they sure accept the advertising. We finally got a small "breaking news" link with a one paragraph saying "details later."

A bit of excitement on an otherwise boring day!
