I honestly don’t understand how a proxy works. I only had a vpn, and I was told to use it to be safe online. I’m not sure it actually worked like that though, because mine was a free vpn. And I totally don’t get how to use a proxy at all.

For me, a proxy is mainly for getting on blocked sites and services, while hiding my real IP from the site. And for some work tasks it’s really useful too. My proxy is paid, mobile, and works so smoothly that I forget I’m even using one. I just click, browse sites, do my work, and nothing breaks. I used to try free proxies, but they always got blocked.
