How Do You Make Injection Molded Parts?
Injection molded plastic parts are made on a specialized machine that uses a metal mold and molten plastic. The machine melts the plastic material and then forces it into the metal mold. The molten plastic will solidify in the shape of the mold. The part is ejected after cooling and the process starts over. Custom injection molded plastic parts can be manufactured by the hundreds, thousands, or even hundreds of thousands.
