    Granny Arrested for Brown Lawn

Police arrested a 70 year old granny for having a brown lawn. When the police arrived, she refused to tell them her name. Her nose was bloodied when she was taken down. In Orem Utah, "failing to maintain your landscaping" is a misdemeanor! Our government dollars at work, supporting the Nanny State for the good of all.

That is absolutely ludicrous. I can't believe, with the shortage of fresh water worldwide, they arrest someone for not wasting it?

Better idea to arrest those with their golf course lawns. What a waste of time, money, and resources.

This incident was all over the news here in Utah when it happened.
I'd say a lot of people overrecated.
I agree, it is a big waste of resources.

Re: Granny Arrested for Brown Lawn

I generally can't wait for our lawn to turn brown as then I don't have to mow it anymore.
Takes a while in western washington though.
