Dog’s Diet Is a Mess

So my goofy Labrador keeps eating too fast when I feed him and then ends up with a stomach ache. I’m wondering if an automatic pet feeder could help with portion control and timed meals? Have you guys tried one that works well for big dogs? I need something sturdy because he’s… let’s say “enthusiastic” about food.

Oh man, I feel you. My Lab (we call him “the vacuum cleaner with legs”) used to inhale his kibble so fast he’d burp like a frat boy and then flop over looking miserable. We ended up trying a few things—slow feeder bowls, splitting meals—but what really saved us was getting an automatic feeder. I was skeptical at first, but the one we got from wopet feeder actually holds up to his enthusiasm (aka food attacks). It portions out smaller amounts on a timer, so he doesn’t get the chance to binge. Plus, I swear he’s calmer now because he knows food’s coming regularly. Total game changer for our goofy guy.
